July 5th - Butte Creek

Today was a more relaxed day. Anne and I went down to visit Bruce the bunny and we met the calves. She was also given a chicken and named it Emily. There is a tiny bunny named Missy that is very calm and Anne got to hold her all by herself. She was quite excited.
Since these photos were taken - both Missy and Emily have died. But - the other chicken in the background(on left) is now named Emily.

Sitting at my Snow Cone post - Anne took this picture

Russell helping grill for the family barbecue - the two guys are Jacob and Scrat. Jacob (next to Russ) is a really cool guy - we like him a lot. He's one of my trailbosses. Scrat (far right) is my fellow Commissioner. He's been training me. He and Russell get along great together. Tonight during campfire they did Russell's famous Peanut Butter Deodorant skit. Scrat fits right in.......
All our kids left today - we get a new group tomorrow and we start all over. Only this time we are expecting over 100 kids plus adults instead of just 16. We had work detail until late tonight and will have it again in the morning before the kids come again. Quick clean up to get ready for the next group of kids.
I'm exhausted. Hit my wall hours ago. We do get to sleep in tomorrow. Don't have to do anything until breakfast at 9. Russ should be back from the shower soon - the kids are out cold. Chat tomorrow.......
