I don't have any photos today. I walked out of the pop-up and left my camera. Never had a chance to come back and get it. The first day of session is always so busy. We have 199 boys and adults in camp this time. Plus the 40 - 50 staff members. I always help the nurse do the medical check-in. I evaluate all the health forms, make sure everything is filled out correctly and send them to her to check in all medications. It's a long process.
We went to church this morning for the first time since we've been here. Last week we were too busy and couldn't get away - but this week we visited "The Friends Church" in Scotts Mills. It's the only church in town and it was established in the 1800's. I wish I would have had my camera for it because it's such a neat old building. Next time I go to town, I will take a photo. It's a Quaker church. Very different than what we are used to but it was fun and interesting to worship with them. There were probably about 30 people there.
The next closest church is in Silverton, about 15 - 20 minute drive. I believe it is a Baptist church. Haven't decided if we will try there or not. It's really difficult because we get put on work crews at 9:30 and lunch is served during a Staff Meeting at 12:15 and then the camp starts at 1:00. So - our time is very limited and we feel bad leaving everyone else to work and pick up our slack.
Hope you are all doing well. Enjoy hearing from you - keep the notes coming. Not much else happening today so I will close for now.
